As I mentioned earlier, I am beginning a new position and will be working closely with administration, developing PD on high school redesign and assessment. Because this position is new to our school, I feel a lot of pressure to start the school year well informed and ready to roll. I created my goal after responding to the questions on the Learning to Learn page of the Study Guides and Strategies website.

My goal is: To study Alberta Education’s new mandates and directions for high school and create a list of resources that will help me plan effective and engaging PD for staff (August 21, 2016)

• I feel that this goal is proximal enough.
• Essentially, this is the blueprint phase of my new position. My seeking out resources, I will begin the school year with an informed starting point. After this goal is achieved, I will then move on to crating a goal for organizing the PD days where items from my resource list will be presented to administration and staff.
• For the duration of this course, only Forethought will be chronicled on my blog. While I will be reflecting during the process, the Performance and Self-Reflection process will be completed after my goal has been reached.
