Digital digests are windows into the different communities. These are daily discussion threads that are emailed out daily. Each network I signed up for has this. They list topics within the network which allow for individuals will a wide range of expertise to comment. While some of the information doesn’t apply to my current teaching position, I find it interesting to read what others are doing with projects that I worked on in the past.

I helped pilot the 1to1 Project in the Calgary Catholic School district. Our school was the only high school in the study, and feel extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to work on this project and to see how it has evolved into Bring your Own Device and Digitally Enhanced Classes. 

Something I found very interesting was that many of the challenges I faced 9 years ago when I worked with 1-1 are still being experienced today. The difference is, when I taught it, I was the only high school teacher in our city and didn’t have a network of professionals I could consult with my questions. This forum is a great resource and I highly recommend anyone interested in Educational Technology to look into this community.
