As I mentioned earlier, I am not a huge fan of Twitter, but am pushing myself to use it more. I definitely see the benefits of using it to connect with like-minded individuals, and definitely see it connecting to the ISTE community.
There is an area in the membership site where you can view member profiles. It was interesting to see how educators from across Canada and the US (some from across the world too) are looking to connect with people from far away. In one area, I saw individuals planning a face to face coffee break. Apparently they met at last year’s conference and are meeting up again this year.
At the end of today’s Twitter chat, one of facilitators asked who’s going to ISTE2017. I feel a great positive energy from Twitter, the discussion forums and the community as a whole. I am really looking forward to connecting with ISTE members via the learning networks and communities, but also at the conference in June.
