I just got this in my mailbox. Seeing as the semester is winding to a close, and I will have some free time I thought I would check it out. It’s a 10 week course where school tech teams work together (completing surveys) with the expectation that the information gained in the course will be used in the school and with team members. The application form asks for a lot of information (numbers of students in the school district, school, % that qualify for free lunches).  Also, Canada isn’t listed as one of the participating countries.  In short, I will not be joining this academy. The BYOD and digitally enhanced classes no longer formally exists in our school and neither does the tech team we used to have.

I guess it’s a blessing in disguise. I should take some time to relax before the end of year rush.
